This Privacy Policy applies to Yamato, published on the App Store by OCCA Communities Association (“OCCA”, “we”, “us”).
Yamato is built by students in OCCA’s app-development program and published under OCCA’s developer account. It collects only what it needs to
work.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email, a display name, and a password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Content you create — your orders; for staff, uploaded menu images.
- Basic technical/diagnostic data to operate and fix the app. We use no third-party advertising or tracking.
Specific to Yamato: the app collects your orders and may store menu images uploaded by
staff, used to take and manage orders.
How we use your information
- To take and manage orders.
- To keep the app secure and fix problems.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.
How information is shared
- Hosting — the app runs on cloud servers (Microsoft Azure) that store data on our behalf.
- Legal — if required by law.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Email support@occabc.com to view or delete your
data.
Children’s privacy
This app is not directed to children under 13. If a child uses it, we collect only the minimal data described above and never use it for
advertising. A parent or guardian may contact support@occabc.com to review or delete information.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect
your data.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the “Last updated” date above.
